Provincial Nominee Program allocations confirmed for 2026
Provinces have received their nomination allocations for the year, which affects how quickly provincial streams can issue certificates.
- Allocations determine how many nominations each province can issue.
- A provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points in Express Entry.
- Provincial streams may open and close as allocations are used.
Provinces and territories have received their Provincial Nominee Program allocations for the year. The allocation sets the maximum number of nominations each jurisdiction can issue, and therefore influences how often streams open and how many candidates can be invited.
A nomination through an enhanced provincial stream adds 600 points to an Express Entry profile. That normally places the candidate well above the cut-off for a general draw.
Monitor the provincial websites directly. A stream can close without much notice once its allocation is used, and eligibility criteria can differ from the federal programs.
